President - Lillian Glenn, NCCP Lillian is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal, and a patent paralegal at Hutchison Law Group. She has been a paralegal for over 11 years, working in both intellectual property and civil litigation. Lillian has been a member of RTPA since 2000 and also serves as a council member and committee chair for the N.C. Bar Association's Legal Assistants' Division. In addition to serving as RTPA's President, Lillian previously served three terms as its Treasurer. Vice President - Erin Galloway, CP, NCCP Erin received her B.A. in Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998, completed the Meredith College Paralegal Program in 2001, and became a NALA certified paralegal in 2002 and a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal in 2006. She is the Trademark Administrator for the worldwide operations of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, where she has been employed since 2004. Prior to Sony Ericsson, she was employed as a paralegal for Closure Medical Corporation in Raleigh. Erin is a member of the Legal Assistants' Division of the N.C. Bar Association, the National Association of Legal Assistants, and the North Carolina Paralegal Association, Inc., where she has served in various capacities including President, District Director, Student School Relations Chair and Survey Chair. Erin has been a member of RTPA since 2006; this is her first year serving as an officer. Secretary - Patty Pontello, NCCP Patty is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal. She is an intellectual property paralegal for Syngenta Biotechnology, Inc. Prior to working for Syngenta, Patty worked for the law firm of Moore & Van Allen in Morrisville for 5 years. Prior to Moore & Van Allen, she was a patent paralegal for Wall, Marjama & Bilinski, a patent boutique in upstate New York, for 15 years. Patty is currently a member of the Legal Assistants' Division of the N.C. Bar Association and has been a member of RTPA since 2002; this is her second year serving as an officer. Treasurer - Candi Riggs, NCCP Candi received her A.A. in Secretarial Science from West Virginia State University in 1981. She was recently approved as a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal. Candi has been employed since 1998 as a paralegal with Myers Bigel Sibley & Sajovec, P.A., specializing in intellectual property. Prior to becoming a paralegal, she was employed as a project manager with Stagg Resource Consultants for twelve years in West Virginia. Candi has been a member of RTPA since 2000 and has previously served as its Secretary. She is also a member of the Legal Assistants' Division of the N.C. Bar Association. |
